The 1980s were the decade of the Hatch Back in the automotive industry! One of the many car manufacturers that made hatchbacks popular was Volkswagen, and their MK2 GTI 16V was leading among car fans. Tamiya has faithfully recreated the MK2 GTI as a rally racing car as seen in A7 class competition. The body is based on the MF-01 chassis because it is at home on asphalt and dirt!
This sturdy and compact four-wheel drive chassis provides a pleasant ride whether you use it on the road or on dirt surfaces. It is equipped with a rear-mounted engine . The front and rear gearboxes have differentials. The battery's location in the center of the chassis ensures excellent balance , while the four-wheel independent double wishbone suspension uses friction dampers.
