Tamiya offers you a special flower power type "23 windows" version of the much appreciated first generation (T1) of the Volkswagen Type 2, better known as the " Volkswagen Combi ", with a very detailed polycarbonate body in scale 1 /10 . Stickers are included to decorate the bodywork with hippie-inspired designs , as well as for the window frames, emblem and many other details, while masking stickers are there to make the paint job easier. This superb body is mounted on the front-wheel drive M-05 chassis .
You can install LEDs (sold separately) in the front and rear lights to add to the realism of the Volkswagen van.
Independent parts are used to represent the round side mirrors with their thin stems characteristic of the Volkswagen bus.
The rear of the van also shows Tamiya's excellent attention to detail, including a separate part for the bumper.
The front-wheel drive M-05 chassis features a semi-monocoque resin structure that is lightweight, narrow, durable and easy to assemble. The gearbox, motor, battery pack, receiver, servo and variator are positioned to ensure optimal weight distribution and a low center of gravity . The 4-wheel independent double wishbone suspension and 3-piece steering linkage provide excellent stability during high-speed cornering. In this kit, the chassis is configured with a wheelbase of 239mm .
