For information, the seal is not designed to prevent fuel from escaping the engine. The seal is only there to prevent dirt from entering the bearing.
- A ceramic motor bearing can allow most RC motors to run 500 rpm higher and the bearing life is much greater compared to a steel bearing.
- Another advantage for ceramic is the difference in weight in the balls allowing a lower rotating mass (0.8g lighter than the steel ball version).
