Although the C variant of the Brabham BT46 is the most famous of the family, due to its fan, the B model was also a capable machine in its own right. In this particular example, John Watson came second in the tragic 1978 Italian Grand Prix, just behind teammate Niki Lauda in a similar car. Although the event was overshadowed by the tragic death of Ronnie Peterson, the double for Brabham remains an impressive result.
