The Mugen Seiki MBX8TR is an off-road radio-controlled car designed for competition . Tested and developed by the best pilots in the world , it is equipped with many new parts to improve stability, rear traction, jumps and landings, as well as offering a wide range of adjustment options . It is a buggy that offers professional level performance.
The suspension uses new "C" and "D" mounts for better toe-in, anti-squat and geometry adjustment , while the front and rear arms are made of impact-resistant material for better sustainability . The rear pillars are also new and feature CFRP plates to adjust the rear roll center. The new front shock tower and front arm upper bracket also use new pivot inserts for improved tuning.
The MBX8TR features a new 4-shoe clutch from Mugen Seiki, designed to be easy to maintain and easier to adjust than other 4-shoe clutches on the market. It is also equipped with high-traction differentials for better acceleration and handling . The new Flash Point bodywork lowers the center of gravity, increases steering, improves jumping and landing, while the high-downforce lightweight wing provides incredible stability and rear traction.
Many other improvements have been made, such as new rear shock springs, a new air filter housing, brake and caliper springs for smoother and smoother braking , stabilizer bar clamps to reduce stabilizer bar movements, aluminum fender knobs, optional front and rear universal driveshafts, and much more.
- The front and rear shock mounts are new with new inserts to find the optimum setting.
- Aluminum triangle support wedges C and D at the rear are narrower so that the triangles work better
- New rear flares complete the new design of the rear axle since they are now adjustable
- The chassis is still 3mm thick in hard-treated and milled aluminum. This has been slightly modified
- The “HT” High Traction Differentials are included as standard in the kit
- The MBX8R comes stock with a complete new 4-weight clutch from Mugen Seiki
- The steering is on ball joints which is a specificity inspired by asphalt track cars.
- Front and rear cells provide very quick access to differentials for maintenance and setting changes
- The new MBX8-R wing has new downforce with new fins
- Revised rear wing support will provide additional downforce and increase durability
- The MBX8-R radio board has been optimized with an enlarged battery box to accommodate large battery packs.
- The shock absorbers are now factory fitted with emulsion caps (E2572)
- The air filter is large in diameter with special foam, combined with a new flexible elbow
- The brake caliper springs take place to free the brake discs from any friction
- 90 degree fuel connection at tank outlet for more direct routing of fuel lines
- Stabilizer bar clamps to reduce lateral movement of the anti-roll bar
