- This bearing has a rubber seal on each side.
- There is a lot of debate about whether to leave both seals on the bearing or remove them and install the bearing with the rubber seal facing outward. For information, the seal is not designed to prevent fuel from escaping the engine. The seal is only there to prevent dirt from entering the bearing. You can remove the inner seal to further increase the performance of the bearing.
- Bearing specifications are Abec5 , 7 G3 Si3N4 ceramic balls as well as two rubber seals.
- A ceramic motor bearing can allow most RC motors to run 500 rpm higher and the bearing life is much greater compared to a steel bearing.
- Another advantage for ceramic is the difference in weight in the balls allowing a lower rotating mass (0.8g lighter than the steel ball version).
